Santa's almost here!

Olivia has been talking about cakes A LOT!  So we made a cake!

She loves to help stir...

And she loves to watch the oven...

The next day we frosted it-YUM!

We attempted to go see Santa but by the time we got there (10 minutes before the mall opened) the line was already 90 minutes-yikes!!  The kids even took along the Santa plush-too cute.

Olivia said she was going to tell Santa she wanted bowling--I think Santa knows anyway!!! :)

What we've been up to...

Olivia has found a new sport-Bowling!

We went to a friends bowling party and Olivia was amazed!  All she talks about now is bowling and she makes toys into bowling pins and rolls a ball to knock them down.

She tells me "I went bowling in the car!"

Yes, she is speaking in 4-5 word sentences, learning new words every day and can even count to ten!

Owen is standing up and cruising around everything-he has taken a few spills but that does not deter him from trying to walk on his own-he must be watched very closely!

The kid's are at my parents for the weekend-that's why I have time to blog now :)

Back from Maryland!

Here we are as a family!  We never have many pictures like these taken...We had a great 5 days in Maryland for Thanksgiving-lots of family love!

Owen is sitting up well so we put him in the bath with Olivia.

She dumped water over his head a few times and thought it was funny.

They were splashing water everywhere!

They had so much fun-I love this picture of them, their smiles are so sweet.

Owen is officially crawling, army style but very fast. 

He loves that he can get places without assistance from us.

He loves that he can go over to all the toys and sit up and pull them all

down!

Disney Day Part 1

We spent Saturday at Magic Kingdom with my parents and friends Paula and Jim.

We ate at Coronado Springs for breakfast and then went to the Magic Kingdom for the day.

November is here and we are looking forward to our Thanksgiving trip to be with all the Powers'  family in Maryland.

This will be the first time many of them get to meet the kids-very exciting!

Olivia loved Trick or Treating-she said "Thank You" to everyone and held our hand when we were walking.  I carried Owen around in his cow costume and everyone thought he was adorable.

Our friends threw a great party with chili and cornbread for dinner.

I can't wait until next year to see Owen walking around...I can't wait to pick out the costumes for next year!

Not so Happy Meal

I bought Olivia her first Happy Meal yesterday...

Can I assume she didn't like it?

Fall is here...

Otherwise known as the temperature is finally below 85 degrees!

The day of the pumpkin patch I "made" cookies with Olivia.  I taught her how to plop ready to bake ones on a cookie sheet and wait.  She loved watching the cookies in the oven and even chose to read a book in the dining room so she could be close to the cookies.

She didn't really like the cookies though-maybe she can tell they are store bought!!
